"Cultural-humanitarian and universal ties between countries continue to be one of the pillars of bilateral relations," Sergey Kopirkin said in an interview with "Iravunk" newspaper.
He noted that in this regard, the general victory against Nazism is important, in which Armenia's contribution is great. The ambassador noted with regret that today Nazism is raising its head again, especially in European countries. In this regard, he also commented on the EPC summit held in Yerevan and Zelensky's statements, which had already been condemned by official Moscow.
Russia is not a participant in the EPC format, however, judging by the information of open sources, a lot of attention was paid to the Russian theme, but only in terms of confrontation. Zelensky's aggressive remarks towards Moscow caused not only a harsh warning from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, but also misunderstanding among the Armenian public.
The fact that Russia and Belarus were not initially invited to the EPC platform clearly shows that the initiators do not seek to form a unifying agenda. Unlike them, Moscow and Minsk put forward an initiative to create an open architecture for stability in the Eurasian continent, which is based on the principles of indivisibility of security and ensuring the primary responsibility of the Eurasian states for solving the problems of the region.
