RA is considering alternative sources of wheat import. Gevorg Papoyan

During the budget discussion in the National Assembly, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced that RA is considering alternative sources of wheat import.

"We are discussing with several countries, moreover, frankly speaking, this is not against any country. If we imported 99% of our wheat, conditionally, from Romania, I would negotiate with Russia to import wheat. This is a very logical process," said Papoyan.

Artur Khachatryan, deputy of the "Hayastan" faction, reacted by saying:

"The fact that you did not allocate a penny for rice cultivation in the budget already shows the attitude of your ministry to the proposal to eat rice."

He proposed to re-create the Ministry of Agriculture, which will deal with the development of agriculture.
