Israel's Ambassador to Washington, Yechiel Lighter, announced that he will not discuss the ceasefire issue with the Shiite Hezbollah movement with his Lebanese counterpart, Nada Hammad-e-Moawad, during the US-led talks on April 14.
"Israel has refused to discuss the issue of a ceasefire with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which continues to attack Israel and is the main obstacle to peace between the two countries," Leiter's words were quoted by The Times of Israel.
Earlier, the Lebanese president's office announced that the ambassadors agreed to meet at the State Department building on April 14 to discuss the ceasefire negotiations.
