The United States attacked a sports hall in the city of Lamar, Iran, using a new PrSM missile, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghai, announced.
In late March, the New York Times, citing military experts and video analysis of the strike, reported that the United States had first used a new short-range ballistic missile (PrSM) early in its campaign against Iran. "On February 28, 2026, the new American PrSM missile that made its combat debut hit a gymnasium in the city of Lamar, Fars province, where innocent teenagers were present.
21 young boys and girls were killed as a result of the attack," Baghai wrote on social networks. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) denies that US forces attacked a gym and a residential area in the Iranian city of Lamard on February 28.
