The release of the last 4 Armenian prisoners who were in Azerbaijan gives us hope for the release of the remaining 19 detained persons who are still in Azerbaijan, as well as to understand the fate of the missing persons within the framework of this cooperation. This will undoubtedly be a significant contribution to reconciliation.
RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this during the PACE session. In the context of strengthening regional peace, the RA Foreign Minister also spoke about Armenia-Turkey relations.
"Armenia remains firmly committed to the full normalization of relations with Turkey, continuous progress in the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, including the full opening of the border, establishment of diplomatic relations and restoration of the Gyumri-Kars railway, will be an important contribution to strengthening regional stability and prosperity," he said.
