Thai soldiers are blown up by a newly planted landmine near the Cambodian border

Thai soldiers were killed by a newly planted anti-personnel mine on the border with Cambodia, prompting the suspension of a peace declaration, the Royal Thai Army said.

According to reports, the number of Thai military personnel killed in the November 10 incident has reached four. The soldiers exploded "due to a new minefield laid in violation of the joint declaration, which was an act of hostility that inevitably led to the suspension of the agreement."

The incident occurred on Monday during a patrol in Sisaket province, bordering Cambodia, where Thai troops cleared demining operations and installed barbed wire fences.
