Indonesia plans to restrict access to online games after school bombing

Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto has ordered relevant agencies to consider restricting access to certain online games following a school bombing in Jakarta. The incident may be caused by children playing computer games, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said.

"The president emphasized the need to discuss the restriction of online games and develop ways to combat their negative impact and consequences," Hadi's words were quoted by "Antara" news agency.

The minister stressed that the decision of the head of state is based on the police's claims that one of the school's students may be involved in the incident. Hadi noted that some video games can contain violent scenes and negatively affect the mental health of teenagers.

On November 7, an explosion occurred in one of the schools in the capital of Indonesia. Eyewitnesses said that the incident happened during prayer. According to Jakarta police, there were no casualties as a result of the incident, but at least 96 people were injured.
