In the US Senate, the bill on ending the government shutdown was approved by a procedural vote

On Sunday, the US Senate passed a procedural vote on the bill aimed at reopening the US federal government, which is currently partially suspended. The hearing was broadcast on C-SPAN.

The bill, previously approved by the House of Representatives and providing funding to the federal government until Nov. 21, received the support of 60 senators, which was needed for further consideration. Forty lawmakers voted against it.

Representatives of the ruling Republican and opposition Democratic parties previously reached agreements on measures aimed at restoring government funding. It is planned that the document that passed the procedural vote will be finalized and included in the legislative package.

They will provide funding for federal government operations until January 30, 2026. They will also provide funding for the entire fiscal year 2026 for the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the U.S. military construction programs.
