Seismologists recorded a 6.3-magnitude underwater earthquake in the Pacific Ocean off the southern coast of Kamchatka, the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reports.

UTC time: 23:13:06 (local time: 22:13, Moscow time: 13:13). Coordinates: 49.8862 North, 156.8972 East. Magnitude: 6.3", scientists shared the monitoring data on their Telegram channel.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 373 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka, and the depth of the hypocenter was approximately 22 kilometers, the service added.
