The Netherlands will donate Patriot systems to NATO Eastern Wing

The Netherlands plans to move Patriot anti-air defense systems to Poland in the coming weeks to strengthen NATO's eastern arm, the Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoff said.

"We will send Patriot systems to Poland in the coming weeks, of course, we discuss with our NATO allies how to best protect the eastern border of the alliance," he said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. However, the Prime Minister did not specify how many air defense systems will be deployed in the country of Eastern Europe.

Moreover, Shof noted that it is "realistic" that the EU will stop buying Russian oil since 2027. He also noted that US President Donald Trump can put pressure on Hungary and Slovakia to refuse Russian energy supplies.

He stressed that "we must make sure that Hungary and Slovakia can buy oil elsewhere," but does not specify how it can be implemented.
