Russia wants to buy back to Ankara's S-400 Ankara in 2019 and resell it to another country, according to the Turkish Nefes periodical.
According to the media, the reason is that Moscow does not have ready-made systems for delivery in stock. All existing systems are used by Russia.
Meanwhile, Turkey's need for Russian S-400 systems is declining year by year. The country is developing its own anti-aircraft defense system "Çelik Kubbe" ("steel dome"). In addition, the S-400s cannot be integrated in NATO's structure, and the rockets of the complex have already exhausted half of the conservation period and need services.
Initially, Turkey acquired two divisions of S-400 by Russia for $ 2.5 billion (the agreement was signed in 2017, supplies began in 2019). However, the purchase caused the tough response to the United States. Within the framework of the law, Ankara has been imposed on Ankara, and Turkey has been removed from the F-35 Fifth Generation Fighter.
Today, when Turkey is negotiating the purchase and modernization of F-16 fighters, it hopes to return to the F-35 project, Ankara can view the option of returning Russian systems.
