Britain calls on Israel to immediately reconsider its plans to oversee Gaza, as it will only lead to more bloodshed, British Prime Minister Kir Starmer said on Friday.
"The decision of the Israeli government, strengthening its attack in Gaza, is wrong, and we call on them to immediately reconsider it. These actions will not do anything to end this conflict or to ensure the release of hostages. They will only lead to more bloodshed, "said the statement published on the British government website.
The Prime Minister stressed that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is deteriorating day by day, and the Palestinian Hamas movement continues to hold hostages in "inhuman conditions." Starmer called on the ceasefire and said that London and Allies work in the region to achieve peace within the framework of the solution of the two states.
