The United Nations said more than 22,000 Somals had left their homes due to battles

Somali residents, including more than 11,000 children, have been forced to leave their homes in the central part of MHC region, according to the UN Humanitarian Coordination Office ReliefWeb Information Service, citing Save The Children International Organization.

"More than 22,000 people, including more than 11,000 children, have been displaced due to tense battles in the central part of Somalia," the statement said.

The department added that "clashes between local militants, government forces and non-state armed groups have escalated during the past two months, significant aggravation of which took place on July 27."

"Save Children" organization is deeply concerned about the termination of the activities of 21 health centers, against the background of escalation battles.
