Italy plans to build the world's longest hanging bridge, which will connect to the continent with Sicily Island, reports the Associated Press (AP).
The implementation of the infrastructure project will cost 13.5 billion euros.
The decision to build a bridge has long been postponed due to its scale, earthquake threat, environmental impact on the environment and the possibility of mafia.
Preparations can start after the end of September or early October after the settlement of the counting chamber. The construction is planned to be started in 2026.
