US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is developing an ultimatum for the Palestinian Hamas movement, demanding the release of the hostages and to give an agreement, the American New York Times reports.
"Jerusalem Post" previously reported that Israel and the United States could have been required for months to develop a new agreement with Hamas.
"According to the information, Netanyahu and Trump work on a new offer, which will include the presentation of Hamas ultimatum," the statement said.
According to the ultimatum, Hamas must release the rest of the hostages, the release of Palestinian prisoners, and agree to the terms of the cessation of hostilities, which include disarmament of the movement. Otherwise, the newspaper notes that the Israeli army will continue its campaign.
Hamas Speaker Mahmoud Mardau has stated that the movement has not yet received Israel's official proposal on the possible agreement, noting that although Hamas supports such an agreement will not agree to disarmament.
