The Russian leadership manages sanctions well, but the United States will still be ready to set new restrictions, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Newsmax.
The American leader asked what he would do if they could not reach an agreement within 10 days of Ukraine.
"We will impose sanctions. Putin is very good to manage sanctions, he knows how to bypass them, "Trump replied.
Trump again named Ukraine "Former US President Joe Biden's War" and added that he would not allow this conflict to take place immediately for a second term.
Earlier, Trump said that Russia and Ukraine would give 50 days to reach an agreement, after which it will set 100% trading customs on Moscow and its foreign partners.
