Syria is interested in Russia's closer to the restoration of the country's unity, said Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibanan.
"The current period is full of different challenges and threats, but this is also an opportunity to build a united, strong Syria. And, of course, we are interested in Russia's way to be with us, "he said during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to Al-Shiban, the Syrian authorities are currently working on the recent events in the country and overcoming the challenges established in the region.
"We are now working to ensure the reunification of the Syrian people, both inside or outside the country," he said.
