A magnitude 8.8 earthquake occurred near Kamchatka. There are no reports of victims or serious destructions. Scientists warn that up to 7.5 Magnitudes can continue for another month.
The "Home" earthquake took place at 11:24 local time, the epicenter was located about 150 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka, on a depth of 32 km. Originally, the magnitude was rated 7.1, but the assessment increased further.
Eyewitnesses write that they cannot remember such an earthquake. Geophysics clarified that this in Kamchatka's seismic focus zone has been the strongest earthquake since 1952.
