Bangladesh offered to buy 25 aircraft from the American Boeing giant, hoping to convince US President Donald Trump to reduce customs duties on the country, said Minister of Trade Mahbubur Rahman.
The Bangladesh Minister will join the US officials on July 29-31, only a few days before the entry into force of the new tariff structure on August 1.
"We have undertaken obligations that we can do. Boeing's purchase is part of that package.
If they compare our offer with others, we must make a better deal, "the minister said in an interview with Bloomberg, before leaving for Washington.
