Wp. Germany has transferred three Patriot systems to Ukraine

Germany has already supply three Patriot systems to Kiev and currently negotiates to supply additional systems with the United States and receiving substitutes. This was reported by The Washington Post, citing sources.

"Berlin has already supply three (Patriot) system to Ukraine and negotiates to supply additional systems with Washington and substitutes, said officials," the article reads.

US President Donald Trump announced on July 14 that Washington has decided to continue the supply of weapons and military equipment to Kiev if Europe will pay for such supplies.

According to the publication, the cost of one Patriot battery can exceed $ 1 billion, and anti-missiles is about $ 4 million per unit.

"How important is the question of who will pay, the more important the issue is where the systems will be supplied? Proponents of Ukraine, supporters of Ukraine ranged from their Patriot systems for months. American and European officials say that it can leave them without defense and indicate the delay in the production schedule, "the newspaper writes.

"The last deal does not solve this problem. Someone will still have to give up the battery, but Trump's decision has revived negotiations. The country that donates Patriot, be it from existing resources, both ready for delivery, can prioritize or get better conditions for replacement, "the article said.

Two sources told the newspaper that other supplies may include radars, drones and artillery.
