More than 200 UK deputies call on Karmier to recognize Palestine State

One-third of the members of the British Parliament (Lower Chamber) called the British Prime Minister Kir Starmier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Lami soon recognized Palestine, according to the Guardian, citing the letter of more than 220 parliamentarians.

"Although we realize that the British cannot provide freedom and independence of Palestine, the recognition of Great Britain would have a significant impact, taking into account our historical relations and membership of the UN Security Council," the statement said.

The recognition of Palestine by British was especially powerful, given that the British was the author of the Balfour Declaration and had a mandate in Palestine.
