Fidan. Moscow and Kiev delegations want to find a compromise

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that in case of continuing direct talks between Ukraine and Russia, he "sees light at the end of the tunnel" in the process of the settlement of Ukraine.

"If the talks continue, there will be light at the end of the tunnel," the minister said on NTV.

According to him, the Ukrainian conflict has "very serious regional and global consequences."

"In addition to the human tragedy, we face a situation that will lead to a greater war and split in the international arena. This is a difficult and expensive war. War in which everything is used in addition to nuclear weapons, "Fidan said.

He added that during the third round of talks in Istanbul, the conditions under which the leaders may take place.

"They have reached a principal agreement on organizing a summit in Turkey, but the delegations participating in the talks will have a lot of work to do due to the difference of positions."
