US President Donald Trump has signed a law that reduces government expenses for foreign aid and public broadcasters, NPR and PBS financing by the White House press service in a statement issued on Thursday.
Therefore, Trump has signed a previously established bill under the US Congress. This amount is almost entirely compliant with the two-year budget of the corporation, through which NPR and PBS receive state funding.
Trump sent a request to Congress on June 4 to undo the expenses of foreign assistance and NPR and PBS financing. NPR unites 797 radio stations in the United States, PBS, 354 non-commercial television states in 50 states.
