Saudi Arabia welcomes France's "historic" intention to recognize Palestine and calls on other countries to do the same in the Kingdom Ministry's statement on social networks.
On Thursday, French President Emanuel Makron announced that France would officially recognize the State of the United Nations in September. "The Kingdom welcomes the international community's consensus on the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people.
The Kingdom again calls on all the countries that have not yet recognized the Palestinian state, take similar positive steps, "the ministry said.
