The new Turkish and Syrian authorities will sign a comprehensive military cooperation agreement, Turkish pro-Turkish Hurriyet newspaper reports.
The publication does not specify when this document envisages sign that Ankara and Damascus are taking this important step against the background of Israel's threats to Syria, which is trying to provoke a civil war in the Arab Republic.
"Hurriyet" reminds that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has previously stated that his country will not allow Syria to destabilize and fragment it. The publication also notes that the new Syrian authorities have requested assistance from Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
TRT HABER channel, citing Turkish Defense Ministry sources, said that the new Syrian authorities have requested assistance in strengthening their defense capabilities, terrorist organizations, including the "Islamic State" group banning the "Islamic State" group.
