The Israeli Knesset (Parliament) voted for the expansion of the Jewish state on the West Bank. The area is currently under control of Palestinian autonomy. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
The approved document "Israel's sovereignty on the valley of Judea, Samaria and Jordan River" has voted for 71 deputies against.
According to Israel's legislation, the current status of these territories, except for the Eastern Jerusalem, is defined as a "temporary military occupation", and the legal manager of the territories is the central command of Israeli defense forces.
About 20% of the population of the West Coast are newly residents of Israel. Most of them live in C zone, where water and mineral reserves are concentrated, as well as agriculture more suitable lands.
The western coast of the Jordan River, as well as the Gaza Strip, is the areas on which the state of Palestine should have created.
