Japanese carmaker Nissan is going to reduce more than 10,000 jobs around the world, as a result of which the number of total reductions will reach 15% of about 20,000 or staff, NHK reports. This step is due to the continuous decline in sales in the United States and China. Last year, the company has announced the reduction of 9,000 jobs and now aims to deepen the reconstruction of the new leader Ivan Espinosa.
Nissan predicts up to ¥ 750 billion (about $ 5 billion) net damage in the financial year. The company is late for the pace of hybrid cars and has lost the advantage of being a leader in the electric car market.
Nissan has already decided to close the factory in Thailand and refuses to sell $ 1.1 billion on electrical battery production program on Japanese Kusseu island.
