India informed the UN Security Council's ambassadors, including Russia, on its military operation against Pakistan, saying that it is not a fixed escalation, but restraint. This was reported by Hindu newspaper, citing government sources.
A few hours after the launch of the operation, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Indian Foreign Minister Vikram Misri met with the representatives of the permanent and non-permanent member states of the UN Security Council.
According to Hindu, ambassadors from Russia, China, the United States, Gayania, Panama, South Korea, Slovenia and Somalia.
Misri stressed that India will respond to any military escalation by Pakistan.
