On March 30, after the elections held in Gyumri and Parakar, it became known that the "Civil Agreement" party received the most votes in Gyumri, 17.183 (36%), the mayor of which is Sarik Minasyan. In second place is the opposition CPA (Vardan Ghukasyan, 9727 votes or 20.48%). The transient threshold also overcame the "Mother Armenia", "Our City" alliances and the "My Powerful Community" party. "Mother Armenia" and "My Mighty" community "announced joining the Communist Party of Armenia.
Hakobyan noted that after the local elections in Gyumri, there is an intrigue, what will Candidate Martun Grigoryan, Candidate for Our City Alliance.
He is sure that if Grigoryan will help Vardan Ghukasyan be elected mayor, then a change of government will become a fact.
"If Martun Grigoryan supports other representatives of the opposition, it will not be a coalition, but against cooperation for the CPU. If there is no cooperation between Grigoryan and others, this path can lead to a political deadlock that will bring to new elections. There is a real chance to strengthen the CP, "said the political technologist.
He stressed that the CP has been unable to reproduce through elections for several years. It is such a situation not only in Gyumri, but also in Parakar, and many years ago there were similar cases in Noyemberyan, Vanadzor, and the absolute majority were not able to become in Yerevan.
According to Hakobyan, the authorities are already trying to neutralize the opposition candidate with criminal methods. In particular, we are talking about criminal proceedings, which has been filed after a talk with Ghukasyan and his supporters, where he demands to gather some people, threatening to create "problems" for them.
