An unacceptable incident occurred today, Yerevan Mayor’s Press Secretary Hayk Kostanyan wrote on his Facebook page and added:
“After the driver of bus number 97 urged passengers to pay, an argument broke out between three passengers and the driver, during which the driver was subjected to violence.
Another driver of “Yerevan Bus” CJSC was also subjected to violence during the argument.
The safety of public transport drivers and passengers is of paramount importance to us, and such incidents cannot be tolerated.
A report has been filed with the police regarding this incident, and we expect that the perpetrators will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
