The court has granted the claim of the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan and obliged public and political figure Edgar Ghazaryan to apologize and pay him a total of 1,130,000 drams. Ghazaryan announced this on his Facebook page.
"Following my publication yesterday under the title "Irresponsible and Irresponsible Judge", today the judge of the first instance of the RA Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions, RA NA deputy (the infamous former governor of the RA Vayots Dzor region), Davit Sargsyan, brother of Trdat Sargsyan, who before holding the position of judge, after his brother's dismissal, was appointed Deputy Governor of the RA Vayots Dzor region by the decision of Nikol Pashinyan, and before that, by the decision of Nikol Pashinyan, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the RA (the minister at that time was Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, who was a classmate of Trdat Sargsyan) published a verdict, in which he satisfied Alen Simonyan's claim and obliged me not only to apologize to one of his political leaders, but also to pay him a total of 1,130,000 drams.
On the other hand, according to the law adopted by Alen Simonyan and Trdat Sargsyan, I cannot use the free services of any lawyer to prepare a further appeal, so I have to do it myself.
I think that in the near future, not only will that verdict be appealed, but the Criminal Court judge will also be subject to Article 482 of the RA Criminal Code (Making a manifestly unfair verdict, judgment, or other judicial act), which provides for punishment for making a manifestly unfair verdict, judgment, or other judicial act by a judge based on self-interest, personal interest, or group interests,” he wrote.
