Islam Makhachev, the current UFC lightweight champion, told reporters whether he is ready to give Armenia's Arman Tsarukyan, the number one ranked number one in the same weight category, another chance to fight against him.
"It doesn't matter to me who my opponent is. It is not my job to choose competitors. we have Dana White and a great team. Just give me a rival and a new fight," Makhachev said.
Let's remind that Tsarukyan was supposed to fight against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, but one day before the fight he was withdrawn from the tournament due to a back injury.
