On the Internet, including with the active efforts of some media, the thesis that the Yerevan community is going to ban inter-provincial passenger transporters from entering the city of Yerevan is circulating. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan provides a personal correspondence (in the form of a voice message) between himself and a citizen as "evidence" of that claim.
According to Suren Grigoryan, the message contains the following in terms of content.
"As for regional passenger transporters, we have another global problem here, because today these passenger transporters take passengers to the central parts of Yerevan, which is not the right approach. The correct approach is that the transport carrying out inter-provincial passenger transport should stop at the bus station, from where the passenger can already use Yerevan's intra-city transport."
