Medvedev called on South Korea to organize a "Squid Game" for officials

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, proposed to organize a "Squid Game" for the South Korean government. He published a post with relevant content on his X microblog. The statesman commented on the statement of Woo Won-sik, Speaker of the South Korean Parliament, that the deputies supported the proposal to impeach Han Duk-soo, the interim president of the republic, during the meeting held on December 27.

According to him, 192 out of 300 legislators voted "for" the corresponding initiative. "South Korea is in its element again. One impeachment follows another. It can also start a "squid game" for the government. Our popcorn is ready," Medvedev wrote. "The Squid Game" is a popular South Korean TV series.

The main characters are people who are struggling financially and participate in survival games for a big cash prize. On December 3, the then president of South Korea, Yun Seok Yeol, declared martial law in the country. Within a few hours, the parliament of the republic voted in favor of abolishing the special regime.

On December 14, the legislators - 204 deputies - expressed their support for the impeachment of the head of state. As a result, Han Duk-soo, who also holds the position of prime minister, became the interim leader of South Korea.
