A fire broke out at the Amur gas and chemical complex, which is being prepared for commissioning, the company's press service reported on the Telegram channel, Radio RBC reports.
According to unofficial data, one person was killed and more than 100 people were injured.
The Amur gas and chemical complex is one of the world's largest enterprises for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene of brands in demand in the Russian and world markets. After commissioning, the complex's production capacity will be up to 2.7 million tons of finished products per year. It is a joint project of Sibur and the Chinese Sinopec.
