Professional education teachers registered a high rate of mandatory certification


This year, for the first time, the mandatory certification of pedagogical workers of educational institutions implementing pre-vocational (vocational) and secondary vocational educational programs was held. Before the implementation of the certification process, training courses for pedagogical workers of VET institutions subject to certification were held at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

361 pedagogical workers teaching professional and special professional modules of 4 areas (jewelry, agriculture, IT, cooking) approved by the order of the Minister of Education and Culture participated in them.

89% of the 310 pedagogical workers who participated in the certification passed the minimum threshold and were considered certified.

As a result of certification:

52 pedagogical workers showed 60-69 percent results,

70-79 percent result: 67 educational workers,

80-89 percent result: 87 pedagogical workers,

90-100 percent result: 70 pedagogical workers, 34 participants did not overcome the minimum threshold.

The certification process is aimed at increasing the salary of the pedagogical staff. According to the results of the certification, the rate of pedagogical workers who showed results of 70-79, 80-89 and 90-100% is changed, being set at 200,000 drams for one-time employment, to which a surcharge of 30%, 40%, 50% is applied, respectively.

The rate of pedagogic workers with results of 60-69 is changed, being set at 200,000 drams for one-time employment, without additional payment, in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 1912 of December 5, 2024.
