On December 23-24, the students and management staff of the Defense and Security Senior Program of the Defense Institutions Development School of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia visited the Republic of Armenia, led by Nikoloz Melkadze, the deputy director of the educational institution.
The head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the RA Ministry of Defense Levon Ayvazyan received the delegation of Georgia in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense. During the meeting, the process of reforms implemented in the field of defense of Armenia, as well as the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the field of defense were presented.
The Georgian delegation was also hosted at the Defense National Research University of the Ministry of Defense, where the head of the educational institution, Major General Albert Baghdadyan, presented a speech on the activities of the university.
The head of the Ministry of Defense and the representatives of the teaching staff answered the questions of the listeners of the "Defense and Security Senior Program".
As a result of the visit to Armenia, for the first time in the history of cooperation between military educational institutions of the two countries, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Defense Research University of the RA Ministry of Defense and the Defense Institutions Development School of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
