"HayaKve" national civil association is concerned about the situation created after the change of power in the Syrian Arab Republic and especially about the fate of the Syrian Armenian community. This was stated in the press release of the union.
The statement also says:
"Particularly, we condemn the shameful practices of the RA diplomatic missions, as well as the uncommunicative behavior of the RA administration towards the Syrian Armenians. Based on the situation in Syria, we demand the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately start a dialogue with the de facto authorities of Syria in order to obtain security guarantees for the local Armenians, as well as also to organize immediate actions aimed at the repatriation of the Syrian Armenian community in accordance with Article 19 of the RA Constitution.
In order to organize the stay of our compatriots from Syria, we demand:
To issue a permanent residence card or refugee status to all our compatriots who moved to Armenia in the prescribed manner.
To provide tax benefits to private companies and individual entrepreneurs operating in Syria and moving to Armenia.
. To include Armenian students studying in Syrian universities in the corresponding Armenian universities.
