"Fact" daily writes:
Nikol Pashinyan has clearly lost and continues to lose in the aggressive war that began in May of last year to eliminate the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is true that Pashinyan has taken hostage four priests of the Church who are detained on fictitious charges, including the diplomat of the Mother See, two active diocesan leaders, and one former diocesan leader. Pashinyan's government arrested the brother and nephew of the Catholicos of All Armenians under equally fictitious pretexts. Moreover, Pashinyan managed to find traitors in the ranks of the clergy through force and special services, in various ways, according to popular rumors, by blackmail and intimidation. In any case, it became known about 10 Tiradav bishops, which, of course, is a small number.
Well, they found 1015 such clergymen, well, let it be 20, which is what they are so proud of in KP. In other words, out of more than 600 clergy, only 30 took over. All this is true, but only so much. The fact is that, in contrast to the tyrants, satellites, and a few tyrants, the Armenian people, the Armenian clergy, by their overwhelming majority, stand next to the national Church, the Mother See and the Holy See.
And since Pashinyan is increasingly failing in this matter as well, he is coming up with new things. And this year also started with a bang. Privately, Pashinyan, who considers himself a "strong Christian", decided to hold a political rally near the church on the Christmas Day of Jesus Christ for "arrested" supporters and security forces hiding under civilian clothes. By the way, it is noteworthy that despite the unacceptable and incomprehensible, even outrageous behavior of the Tiradov bishops, His Holiness also left a certain place for them to convert in his Christmas message.
However, those whom the people have already sealed, if not to say, stigmatized as tyrants, not only did not appreciate it, but additionally showed that they have become primitive servants of the party and political interests of the ruling group. In other words, they do not serve the Church, God and faith, but... Nikol Pashinyan himself.
At the assembly, let's remind, Catholicos of All Armenians released Gevorg Saroyan from the position of leader of Masyatsot Diocese, one of the bishops who broke his oath. It could be said that it was also a public demand. The sequel turned out to be extremely remarkable. None other than Nikol Pashinyan himself declared that for him the decision of the Catholicos has no value, therefore the said Gevorg Saroyan continues to be the leader of the AAP mentioned diocese. Here one could write an entire legal PhD thesis, analyzing the provisions of the Constitution and laws that Nikol Pashinyan directly violates. He, occupying the position of the Prime Minister, has absolutely no right to interfere in any way in the activities of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the issues of internal self-governance.
But let's leave it to the jurists, many of whom have recorded and emphasized the violation of the constitutional order. Pashinyan, look, look, does not consider Garek the Second Catholicos. We will briefly return to Pashinyan's "considerations". But it was worth emphasizing here the most important, if not key, item.
I'm very sorry, but who is Nikol Pashinyan in this situation to consider or not consider something related to the Church? Of course, he can have his opinion, like all other Armenians, but nothing more. In other words, that opinion cannot be decisive or significant. Yes, Nikol Pashinyan, unfortunately for Armenia and the Armenian people, is the head of the RA government, the RA Prime Minister. And what? And from the point of view of the Church, nothing. Spiritually, he is 1 (one) ordinary member of the faithful flock of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This is in the best case, if we accept that it is really a child of AAP, which many people doubt. And that's it. So, what Pashinyan said about the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Mother See cannot have any value for the Church. Especially if you consider what kind of evil, internal hatred and internal enmity the "speaker" is, how many destructions, losses and how many thousands of enlightened Armenian boys he has brought to death with his failed activities, how many thousands of mothers he has made childless, how many thousands of Armenians he has made homeless and landless. Should such a person make judgments about our faith, the internal affairs of the Church, or government? By what right? He has no legal right, no moral right.
Either way, he does not consider the Catholicos to be a Catholicos. Let's put aside the question that Gevorg Saroyan, Pashinyan's favorite, was appointed to the position from which he was relieved at the time by the decision of the same Catholicos. Pashinyan considers other things as well. Pashinyan and CP, for example, consider that Mount Ararat should be razed to the ground or at least erased from the historical memory of Armenians. They consider that Western Armenia either does not exist, or, in general, it is the Southwest district of Yerevan. They consider that Artsakh is Azerbaijani. They consider that the image of Mashtots should not be in the primers, they consider that the Turks are their brothers, and the Armenian clergy are their enemies...
Pashinyan also considers Armenian antiquities to be true... They consider a lot more. But millions of our compatriots in Armenia and the Diaspora also consider that Pashinyan is not the prime minister and should not be the prime minister. And what if those people don't follow the government's decisions, the laws passed by the National Assembly, don't pay taxes, don't pay utilities... Will that happen? Those same millions of people think that Pashinyan must leave. Why doesn't he leave? And why does he think that "considering" one Nikol Pashinyan and several hypocrites and tyrants, our Holiness should leave? There is and cannot be such a thing.
