The number of Thai servicemen injured as a result of clashes with Cambodian troops has increased from 8 to 29, Thai Armed Forces spokesperson Surasan Khongsiri announced at a briefing.
"During the clashes, one Thai soldier was killed and 29 were injured," he said.
The Royal Thai Army announced on December 8 that Cambodian forces began shelling Thai positions along the border at 5:00 a.m. local time (1:00 a.m. Moscow time).
In response, the Thai Air Force attacked Cambodian military infrastructure. The Thai military's Second District also said Cambodia fired BM-21 missiles and kamikaze drones into Thai territory on Monday and Tuesday.
