The General Prosecutor's Office brought a new charge against former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan in the case of March 1, 2008.
He is accused of exceeding official authority by force. The prosecutor presented the charge in the anti-corruption court, according to which Ohanyan, in 2008 being the chief of the general staff of the armed forces, with the complicity of other persons, he performed actions that clearly went beyond the scope of his authority, which inadvertently led to serious consequences.
The punishment for this act is 4-8 years in prison.
