During a meeting with representatives of the International Media Council in Davos, Vladimir Zelensky called the position of the USA, Germany, Slovakia and Hungary unfair and dishonest for their reluctance to see Ukraine in NATO.
"On the part of some states, I think, from the beginning, this was not a very transparent policy, and they did not support us in NATO, these were just lies.
"Yes, Ukraine will be in NATO. decades have passed and Ukraine is still not part of NATO, and it was unfair to Ukraine and Ukrainians. It was also dishonest on the part of our leaders. Yes, four countries do not support us in NATO: the USA, Germany, Slovakia and Hungary," Zelensky said in a video published by his office on YouTube.
Zelensky also scolded the mentioned countries for conducting negotiations on Ukraine without his presence and called their position "dishonest and unfair".
"The issue of NATO depends on the USA and the president's position. If President Trump is ready to see Ukraine in NATO, we will be in NATO, and everyone will be in favor if he is not ready to see us in NATO. "We in NATO we will not be," added Zelensky.
He admitted earlier that the USA, Germany, Slovakia and Hungary do not want to see Ukraine in NATO.
