The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has extended visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries until the end of 2025. The state border committee of the republic announced this on the Telegram channel.
"Taking into account the popularity of the Belarusian visa-free regime among foreigners, the head of state has decided to extend visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries," the Civil Procedure Code states.
According to the committee, more than 1 million Europeans have visited Belarus since the start of the visa-free regime in 2022. Most tourists come from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, as well as from Germany, Estonia, Italy, France and Great Britain.
After Belarus introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, the European Union announced that the authorities of the republic were allegedly recruiting European citizens as their agents.
