As of today, the legislative regulation has entered into force, according to which driving with winter tires becomes a mandatory requirement starting from March 31. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Operation of the vehicle will be prohibited if:
winter tires are not installed on light passenger cars and trucks with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tons,
The residual height of the tread pattern of winter tires intended for operation in icy or snow-covered road conditions is 4 millimeters or less when driving in the specified road conditions,
in the months of June, July and August, vehicles with anti-skid rubber tires will be banned from driving.
For the violation of the stipulated requirements, there are measures of administrative responsibility.
