The change in transportation tariffs in Yerevan may lead to inflation of up to 0.5 percent, said Martin Galstyan, President of the Central Bank of Armenia, at a meeting with journalists.
"We expect that the maximum effect that we can see during the next year as a result of the change in transport prices is up to 0.5 percent," said the CB president.
As for inflation in general, Galstyan noted that weak inflationary effects are expected from the external sector on the RA economy.
"2024 In the 4th quarter, economic activity in RA continued to approach the estimated level of long-term sustainable growth," he said.
The Central Bank President emphasized that the Central Bank Council will continue to monitor the economic development scenarios and is ready to take adequate actions to ensure the inflation target of 4% and price stability in the medium-term horizon.
