On December 5, H.E. Karekin the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Claudia Bush at the Holy Etchmiadzin Mother See.
His Eminence, congratulating the ambassador on the occasion of his appointment, wished a successful mission for the further strengthening of the ties between the two peoples.
The Armenian Patriarch expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the two countries. The Catholicos of All Armenians also referred to the disturbing geopolitical developments and their impact on the situation in our region, praying that conflicts in the world would stop and that different nations would not experience the same pain and suffering that the Armenian people suffered as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, the ambassador assured His Holiness that he will do his best to further strengthen the friendship and relations between the two countries.
During the conversation, reference was also made to the programs of the Mother See aimed at overcoming the social problems of forcibly displaced Artsakh Armenians, as well as to the existing close cooperation in the inter-church sphere.
