The United States believes that the agreement signed between Greenland and Denmark ultimately secures Washington's Arctic security interests.
This position was presented by the Secretary of State Marco Rubio. According to him, the agreements "completely address US national security concerns regarding Greenland" and "ultimately ensure US security interests in the Arctic".
"Greenland will always be a strategic defense zone of North America, and the presence of any adversary there or in the surrounding areas is unacceptable," Rubio wrote in X on September 18.
