The Russian arrested in Antalya is Marat Dreizin, co-owner of Credo-Med, the person behind the "sanitary gang" case

The Russian arrested in Antalya, Turkey, has been identified as Marat Dreizin, co-owner of the Credo-Med clinic, who was previously convicted in the St. Petersburg “gang of paramedics,” Kommersant reported.

Dreizin was arrested on September 4 in Alanya on the basis of an Interpol red notice. Russian law enforcement agencies were looking for him in connection with a particularly large-scale fraud case.

Dreizin was involved in the case of a group that controlled the shadow income of St. Petersburg morgues and was liquidated in 2005. The investigation confirmed about a dozen murders on the account of the group. In particular, members of the group were linked to the murder of Larisa Artyukhovskaya, the head of the medical department of the city’s narcological hospital, in 2004. Drezin was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. According to the investigation, he acted as an intermediary between the client and the perpetrators. The court sentenced him to four years in a penal colony.

In 2021, Drezin again became a figure in a criminal case. According to the Investigative Committee, he illegally sold the apartment of a deceased person, and then tried to organize a provocation against a woman who was a witness in the case. The investigation alleged that Drezin was looking for a person who could give her drugs. After his arrest, he managed to hide, and was later arrested in absentia.

According to DHA, Turkish police had identified Dreizin as being in Alanya, after which officers from the Intelligence Unit and the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Unit arrested him at around 16:30 local time on Tevfik Muftioglu Street in the Kargicak district. He was taken to the police department for necessary procedures.

Earlier, Fontanka called Dreizin one of the most prominent players in the St. Petersburg ritual services market.
