During the service carried out in the capital from August 3 to 10, Yerevan patrols detected 4,631 violations of traffic rules, moving 238 cars to a special protected area. In particular, 170 drunk drivers and 115 people without a driver's license were found. There were 77 license plate violations, 888 driving without a seat belt, 41 without a child seat, 41 for smoking while driving, 306 for using the phone while driving, 41 for crossing a pedestrian crossing, and 1,561 other violations. 30 cars were operated without an insurance contract, 112 without a technical inspection, 127 with malfunctioning headlights, 51 with a film-covered windshield and side windows. In addition, 89 people were arrested on various suspicions and taken to Community Police Departments.
During the same period, patrols in marzes discovered 15,456 violations of traffic rules, moving 237 vehicles to special protected areas. 312 drunk drivers, 364 persons without driver's license were found. 62 license plate violations, 4202 driving without a seat belt, 317 without a child seat, 496 for smoking while driving, 736 for using the phone while driving, 74 for crossing a pedestrian crossing, 2635 for speeding, and 4779 other offenses were also found. 87 cars were operated without an insurance contract, 745 without a technical inspection, 492 with malfunctioning headlights, 134 with film-covered windshield and side windows. 22 drivers were fined for using non-standard amplifiers while driving. In addition, 47 people were arrested on various suspicions and taken to the regional departments of the Community Police.
