North Korea is preparing additional measures in response to Japan's growing military potential, warned Kim Yo-jong, head of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and sister of the country's leader.
"We must make Japan repent for its actions. In no case will we allow Japan to undergo a military evolution that could pose a serious threat to North Korea's security," KCNA news agency quoted him as saying.
The politician called on the international community to increase vigilance, condemn the actions of the neighboring country and prevent its transformation into a military power under the auspices of the United States. Kim Yo Jong noted that Japan has tested Tomahawk cruise missiles in the Pacific Ocean. Moreover, he added, Tokyo is deploying long-range anti-ship cruise missiles, developing unmanned submarines and buying cruise missiles for the F-35A fighter jets.
